Position: Brewmaster/Guy that makes the beer
Background: Graduated from Sewanee in 2000 with a degree in Psychology. Didn’t really know what he wanted to do so he slung coffee for a couple of years. Earned his Master’s degree in Education and taught middle school Science for 5 years. During that time, he started home brewing and really loved making something. He loved teaching, but the call of craft beer became strong and eventually left teaching to pursue a career in beer. After earning his degree from the Siebel Institute in Chicago for brewing technology, he cut his professional brewing teeth at Rock Bottom in Chicago. He then became the head brewer for Rock Bottom in Warrenville and finally settled at Nevin’s Brewing Company, where he has been the brewer since we opened our doors in December of 2012.
